A conversion of the classic coin-op where you control a marble that you have to negotiate through isometric courses to reach the goal flag at the end of the course. Along the way you have to avoid obsticules such as enemy marbles, mallets, acid pool and vacuum cleaners. Control of the marble takes a high degree of concentration due to the marble reacting to the elevation of the surface. Thankfully should you fall of a ledge only time is wasted, you dont die instantly. There are 6 levels of action, 3 skill levels and a two player option is also included.

As close to the arcade as you can get. The backgrounds replicate the arcade game faithfully with good animation on the sprites.

Yet again, very faithfull to the original coin-op.

A true classic that needs to be in eveyones retro game collection. Marble Madness makes a pleasant change from the usuall shooters and fighting games available. Despite not having the use of the arcades original trackball controller, the controls are still very well done. Im sure this was the inspiration for the current day Super Monkey Ball. If only there were more quirky games around these days.
